About my classes

My intention is to create a space that we can listen inward, accept ourselves as we are and move from there. I create freeing and nourishing sequences that can be accessible for all. I believe that through this practice, we can better connect to the earth, our community, and our most authentic self. I often theme my classes around nature’s wisdom, while incorporating my knowledge of the human body and yogic philosophy. 

While moving with me, the goal is always enjoyment in providing unique care to self and connecting to the here and now (where all the magic can happen!). I will always cater to requests, interests, and the vibe of the group I am teaching.

My journey to here

I’ve always loved movement and sports and immediately enjoyed how the practice felt physically after trying yoga in 2013. Since then, the practice has completely evolved into a holistic journey of self-exploration & self-care. Yoga gifts me with a space for my mind to quiet, allowing complete arrival into the present moment with acceptance, love, and curiosity. From here, the world opens up.

I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (Heidi Macpherson, Jacky Challenger, Rebekka Walker & Natalie Rousseau) in Tofino at my home studio, Coastal Bliss Yoga . Since then, I have continued to study Mindfulness & Meditation (Carolyn Ann Budgell), Yin Yoga (Jodi Dodd), Pre and Post Natal Yoga (Rebekka Walker) and completed my 100hr Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (Melanie Phillips). Before studying yoga, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (Queen’s University) and love to blend my passion for science with spirituality. I value self-study and life-long studentship as a part of my path to mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. I come back to this practice again & again to foster my connection to self, community and nature.

Beyond yoga

I love to be outside. I love to be active. I love all living beings. I love chats about the mysteries of life & being human. I love adventuring to new places but also staying home to nest. Writing, reading, dog walks, and dancing bring me back to myself.
